I received a copy from Mia Sheridan in exchange for an honest review!

*There are no spoilers for Finding Eden but if you haven't read book #1 Becoming Calder then don't read on as there as a few refs to the first book!!*

What I say: I loved Becoming Calder and wasn't really sure what to expect with Finding Eden because after the dramatic ending I knew the plot would be very different (Becoming Calder review here)?! Mia Sheridan didn't disappoint and I blubbered my way through the final part of Eden and Calder's beautiful love story!

If I thought Becoming Calder was emotional then Finding Eden is the supreme champion of emotional reads! The issues covered in this series are unusual and interesting, yet really different and so emotional. What an intriguing love story!

I'm not really sure what I was expecting but I can honestly say I didn't expect a lot of what happens, but this is a good thing - Finding Eden is not predictable! Everything that I enjoyed about book one was there and then some!

I have NEVER wanted two characters to find a HEA more than Eden and Calder! In the past I've often moaned about characters being too nice or kind, because nice characters are often pushovers and have no spark. This is NOT the case with either of them. Their goodness is wonderful and makes up such an important part of the story. Rather than being boring or dull, their empathy and kindness is endearing and made me want to help them.

There is a scene where I wasn't sure I was going to like where Sheridan was seemingly taking the story, but I shouldn't have doubted her. I was on the point of being cross with a certain character but when I considered the time frame, the situation and the emotional state of this character, this plot twist actually made sense and I totally understood what happens.

The story isn't all sad because there are some beautiful moments of joy and wonder. I enjoyed the secondary characters (some more than others) and I really appreciated the message of love and hope running throughout both books.

As with my review of Becoming Calder, I'm being purposely vague because it's impossible to mention the plot without spoiling either book. But hopefully you'll appreciate how much I enjoyed their emotional journey. I loved watching the many lies, secrets and twists Eden and Calder face uncovered!

4.5 Emotional Stars in my Sky!
