Waiting on Wednesday is my weekly post where I obsess over the shiny new books  I cannot wait to read!

This week, I'm waiting on... Wethering the Storm by Samantha Towle

 

 

First up I have just realised that I haven't written a review of The Mighty Storm (book #1), which is ridiculous because of how much I loved it! The reason is simple: I read TMS before I started my blog! I will rectify this and make sure I write a review of book #1 before Wethering the Storm is released!!

 

What they say: Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great…right?

Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.

Why I'm waiting on Wethering the Storm:

 

1. Jake Wethers is my fav BBF ever!! He's a damaged, maddening, beautiful rocker with a troubled past and an enormous HEART (get your mind of out the gutter people)!
2. Tru is a great female lead and I enjoyed reading her story in TMS.
3. I'm a sucker for a boy-next-door story and this is the ultimate BND tale!
4. I want to read about what happens next. Can the most famous and most sort after guy on the planet really commit to one girl? What happens when they're not on tour, but left facing reality?
5. I both love and hate the angst which came in TMS and am looking forward to more in WTS.
6. The whole band are fun to read about and I really enjoyed their banter!
7. I want to see if Tru's career takes off. I'm hoping she isn't going to become to Rock 'n Roll version of a WAG (wife and girlfriend of rich sportsmen).
8. I want to see Jake work to keep Tru and give a better explanation as to why he cut contact all those years ago (I found his excuse a bit weak in TMS).
9. These books are about hot rockers, covered in tattoos!
10. Mainly I just want to read about Jake and Tru's HEA (marriage, kids and the whole deal)!

As you can see it's a LONG list and I have to say I am nervous Towle may decide to mess with Tru and Jake too much. I don't want cheating or potential pregnant ex-lovers (think of the Groupie series). But I cannot wait to read this book!!
