A Reaper Made
by Liz Long

Synopsis:
Grace had finally gotten
used to her new afterlife as a “Made” – a Reaper who used to be human.
When Made Reapers and souls begin disappearing, however, Grace and her
mentor Tully suspect demons. Grace’s worst fears are confirmed when her
living family is threatened.

She’ll have to break every rule in
the Reaper book to save them, including using a little magic to become
temporarily human. With the help of Tully and her witchy friend Tessa,
Grace goes undercover to save the fates of kidnapped souls – only to
discover that demons aren’t working alone. Betrayal and distrust runs
deep and Grace discovers that sometimes even Reapers are prone to

Author Spotlight:

Liz Long is a ridiculously proud graduate of Longwood University with a

she spends entirely too much time watching superhero movies. Her
fabulous day job as a Social Media & PR Strategist includes writing

is a fantasy about a Reaper who must work a little magic to save her
family’s souls from demons. All titles are available for paperback or

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!

What I say: I love paranormal books and really appreciate Liz Long's unique take on reapers, magic and ghosts. Grace is a reaper or a 'made' aka a reaper who used to be a human. Reaper's have the job of escorting souls into the afterlife. They have a stringent set of rules to follow. Having not been a reaper for long, Grace still has her human emotions and family ties. It's the up to her reaper mentor Tully and her witch bestie Tessa, to assist her and keep her under control.

I liked Grace's sassiness and sarcasm. It was was nice to see her human side coming through with her family and friends. I loved the scenes with at the University with Matt. Every time Grace would get tongue-tied or babble it made me laugh.

I have to admit the plot took several unexpected turns and I honestly wasn't expecting the direction it took at times. I'm not going to go into detail about the storyline because I don't want to spoil it for you.

I enjoyed this cute and quirky reaper story and would love to read more about Tessa and a certain hottie...

3.5 Stars in my Sky!
