SWEET RUIN by Nazarea Andrews

University of Branton, #3
What they say: It’s good to be on top… Asher Knox has it all. Girls, wealth, a career most would kill for. He’s just landed the biggest job of his career. And he’s miserable.
She’s fighting her way from the bottom… Megan Beauchamp has no illusions about why she was chosen to be Asher’s PA. She’s pretty, and down to earth, and everything the Hollywood star always falls for. Too bad Megan is just paying her dues and has no interest in anything but advancing at her PR firm.
He’ll throw it all away…Luca James knows what he wants. And he’s waited a long time for the window to open—when it does, he’ll walk away from the career he’s built for a chance at something real.
When Megan’s boss threatens to fire her, Luca and Asher convince her to leave town with them. Between bad hotels and pit stop confessionals, the three are drawn closer together. And the lines blur even more in Branton, where Megan is forced to look at everything she left behind. But when the boys want more, Megan will be forced to choose between the men she loves and the life she thought she wanted. And in a town like Branton, the secrets she keeps won’t be hidden for long.
Warning: for mature audiences. Two sexy men + one sassy heroine = hot sex.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!
What I say: If you don't like your New Adult books on the more risqué side of things then be warned Sweet Ruin does involve a relationship progression between three people. First up I'm going be completely honest and say I missed this element when I took part in the cover reveal, but don't let this put you off.
Megan has been working as actor and heartthrob, Asher Knox's PA for months. So far she's managed to ignore her attraction to him and to her former flatmate Luca. Luca's her best friend and she isn't interested in complicating things between them. This all comes to a head when she finds herself on a road trip to her hometown of Branton with the two of them.
The first thing I noticed was that although the dynamic of the relationship between Megan, Luca and Asher is different, Nazerea Andrews hasn't just included a threesome into the Uni of Branton series just for the sake of it - it actually starts to make sense.
My only problem was the speed at which things progressed and how quickly Asher seems to be open to a scandalous arrangement. I liked Megan and won't hold her relatives against her. Her confusion and doubts made her more realistic and believable. Asher was a surprise because he had far more depth and more to him than a hot actor. I liked how he wasn't judgemental and was willing to look beyond sexuality and convention. For me the hook was Luca's backstory; it was interesting and really sad.
I did think the book ended suddenly, and as with the first two instalments, I would have like a longer or more developed ending (I wanted to know what happened to certain characters). However, I found Sweet Ruin to be a surprising twist on most New Adult books and I found the three leads really likeable.
3.5 Stars in my Sky!
