BOOK SUMMARY:
From USA Today bestselling author Lisa Desrochers comes the third book in her sizzling new adult series.
If you play with fire …
Tossed out of college and cut off by her parents, Samantha West is in pretty dire straits. So when her rocker best friend hooks her up with a job dancing at a gentlemen's club, who is she to turn it down? Plus, there are rules to dancing at Benny's: No touching, keep your clothes on at all times, and never get closer than three feet. Unfortunately for Sam, her first private client makes her want to break every single one of them.
Harrison Yates is scorching hot, but he's got a past that involves being left at the altar not too long ago. Sam is determined to make him forget about his ex, but when she makes her move, it flings her life into a spiral of chaos she never saw coming. Because Harrison Yates isn't who he seems to be. And his secret will probably get her killed.

What I say (review): Oh WOW! I usually reserve my fan-girling for JLA and Jay Crownover but I'm adding Lisa Desrochers to my list of authors who make my head spin and any semblance of cool to vacate the building!
I am a big fan of the previous two books in the series and I never really expected to like Sam or to feel any empathy for her, but Lisa completely changed my mind and has written a great story in A Little Too Hot!
If you've read books 1 & 2 you'll know Sam is Lexie's former friend who sorta-dated Trent whilst he was secretly in love with Lexie. BUT the books works well as a standalone and you don't need to have read A Little Too Far or A Little Too Much (they are great and defo worth a read though)! Anyway...Sam is struggling! She's fallen out with her parents, has no money and has dropped out of Uni. She ends up working as a dancer at a seedy men's club where she meets mysterious hottie Harrison. I don't want to spoil any of the plot for you, but let's just say the book takes a turn here I definitely was not expecting!
I had personally misjudged Sam in the past. I underestimated her feelings for Trent and only saw her as a selfish impairment upon Lexie's happiness. It was great to see why Sam was so upset and to see how much and for how long she had cared for Trent - it made her seem more real and likeable. Sam is really caring and really funny; some of her mishaps had me in hysterics. Sam is damaged (her Mum has a lot to answer for, although I eventually understood her motivations), but she manages to help others. Her friendship with Jonathan was a great addition (he needs his own book) and I was anxiously waiting to see if Lexie would make an appearance.
Harrison is something of an enigma. He lies but is honest, he manipulates but doesn't and he's strong yet vulnerable, so of course I loved him! I really enjoyed his story and seeing him battle himself was both frustrating and brilliant.
The book has some really swoon-worthy and smexy scenes, coupled in with some heartbreaking moments, it kept me entertained from start to finish. My fav instalment in Lisa's series so far!
