Twist - Dive Bar #2
by Kylie Scott

twist

When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.

Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they're emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets...except the one that really matters.

When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it's always better with a twist.

What I say: In classic Kylie Scott style Twist is hilarious, sexy and really flipping sweet!

You know all the stories about not trusting in someone you meet on the Internet because everybody lies? Well that's exactly the situation Alex finds herself in after deciding to track down her online friend Eric. Eric is in fact his brother Joe who has been inadvertently catfishing her.

Alex takes a huge and uncharacteristic leap of faith when she decides to surprise Eric. It kinda backfires when she discovers that Eric knows nothing about her and that she's actually been talking/online dating Joe. Now before you get all cross about Joe's antics, I'm going to mention that he didn't intentionally trick Alex, and does feel terrible about lying to to her.

I really liked Alex. I have to admit was expecting to find her eagerness to travel across the country after some guy a little annoying, but although she's a little closed off at times, I found her extremely endearing and funny.

Joe is super swoon worthy. I loved the whole blond haired, rugged, sexy giant thing he had going on. He's totally loyal and really selfless! He made me smile, rant and of course blush - I really liked him as a character but I loved them together.

Kylie Scott always writes good banter and Twist is no exception. Alex and Joe totally knock it out of the park with their one-liners, arguing and flirting. I'm really looking forward to what happens next...

4.5 Stars in my Sky!
