Could her feelings might be more honorable than she'd first imagined?

Soon, Griffith and Della are arousing more than scandal; they're courting heartbreak. And more than their reputations could still be at risk.

Releasing 29th April!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!

What I say: It's no secret I'm a fan of a cute historical romance and I do love me a MF book so I was excited to get my hands on Never a Bride

Lady Della is hilarious! She's sweet scandalous, funny and determined. I found myself laughing at her schemes and how she bossed Griffin around. I've enjoyed reading her sister's mishaps in love, but Della may be my fav!

Griffin is very set on his life going a certain way, but life has other plans and he has to return to a lifestyle he hates but meets the charming and lets be honest, kinda bossy, Della, he's hooked. All hail the captain!

The romance is fast paced, dramatic and naughty in parts but it made me smile throughout!

Eli's Triumph

What they say: From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series…

Peaches Taylor spent the last seven years slinging drinks and dodging drunks at the Starkwood Saloon. Some might call it a dead end job, but to her it was an investment—another six months, and she’d have enough money to buy the place.

Life would've been perfect if Eli hadn’t come home.

Eli King is ready to settle down. He stood by his brothers when they needed him, paying the price for their freedom with his own. Now it’s time to claim his reward—the Starkwood Saloon. He’s got the cash to buy the bar, the skills to run it, and just one person standing between him and his dream: Peaches Taylor.

She’s been driving him crazy since they were kids, and not in the good way. When she was six, she shoved a spider down his pants. When he was ten, he locked her in a closet overnight. Then she hot-wired his car at seventeen, and things got ugly…

They’re adults now, and the Starkwood isn’t a toy to fight over—it’s the hill they’ll die on. No prisoners. No compromises. No mercy.

Peaches Taylor and Eli King are going to war.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Moonlight Scandals - Review

Moonlight Scandals - de Vincents #3
by Jennifer L. Armentrout

What they say: It takes a fearless woman to love the most scandalous man alive in New York Times Bestselling Author Jennifer L. Armentrout’s breathtaking novel

Even a ghost hunter like Rosie Herpin couldn’t have foreseen the fateful meeting between two mourners that has brought her so intimately close to the notorious and seductive Devlin de Vincent. Everyone in New Orleans knows he’s heir to a dark family curse that both frightens and enthralls. To the locals, Devlin is the devil. To Rosie, he’s a man who’s stoking her wildest fantasies. When a brutal attack on her friend is linked to the de Vincents, he becomes a mystery she may be risking her life to solve.

Devlin knows what he wants from this sexy and adventurous woman. But what does Rosie want from him? It’s a question that becomes more pressing—and more dangerous—when he suspects her of prying into the shadows of his past.

Now, the legends surrounding the de Vincents may not be myths at all. But if she’s to discover the truth, she must follow them straight into the arms of the man she can’t resist—the handsome devil himself.

I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review!

What I say: Although JLA's YA/NA books will always have my heart, I'm a huge fan of her naughtier adult romances. I've thoroughly enjoyed the De Vincents series and have been waiting for Devlin to have his say.

Moonlight Scandals picks up after the dramatic events of Moonlight Seduction. The de Vincent brothers are reeling from the unexpected turn and drama caused by a certain socialite and her family.

I loved Rosie. The woman's a ghost hunter, what's not to like?! To say Rosie and Devlin are opposites is a HUGE understatement. They have different beliefs and different goals, but underneath it all they just want those they love to be safe and happy.

Devlin is a hard man to like. Yes he's handsome, rich and brings out the usual romantic hero swoon, but he's also difficult and doesn't give much away. He doesn't trust anybody and is full of secrets and lies. Rosie on the other hand is open, lighthearted and honest. She has faith in people as well as in things you can't always see or understand. I liked them together and in JLA's words, holy hot chemistry batman!

The story is full of twists, reveals and betrayal. Like really full of them! I kept thinking we were heading in one direction, then boom! JLA would flip the plot on it's head and everything changes. Oh the romantic drama!

Review - For the Duke's Eyes Only

For the Duke's Eyes Only - School for Dukes #2
by Lenora Bell

What they say: If adventure has a name...it must be Lady India Rochester. The intrepid archaeologist possesses a sharp blade and an even sharper knack for uncovering history's forgotten women. Unfortunately, she has one annoying weakness: the dangerously handsome Duke of Ravenwood. Former best friend. Current enemy. And the man who dared to break her heart.

Daniel Bonds, the Duke of Ravenwood, is a thrill-seeking antiquities hunter who only plays by one rule: Never fall in love. He's in it for the fortune and glory. At least that's what he wants the world to think. He's sworn to hide his tangled web of secrets, especially from the one woman he cares about and will protect at any cost.

But when a priceless relic is stolen from the British Museum, the rivals must align forces. Racing to recover the stolen antiquity and avert an international disaster? All in a day's work. Avoiding their buried feelings? More and more impossible. For love is about to become the greatest treasure of all.

The grand adventure begins...now!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!

What I say: I've been waiting for India's and Raven's story since I finished What a Difference a Duke Makes. Their grumpy banter is hilarious and intriguing, I just knew there had to be more to their story and Lenora Bell doesn't disappoint.

Lady Danger *ahem* Lady India Rochester is an heiress with a passion for archaeology. She refuses to be trapped by her gender and place in society. For her latest archaeological quest she needs access to the Rosetta stone - the problem is she can't do so as a woman and former friend turned rival Daniel, the Duke of Ravenwood stands firmly in her way...

India is equal parts daring and hilarious. She's one of my favourite historical romantic leads so far this year. She actually reminded me of a mixture of Downton Abbey's Lady Sybil Crawley and Evie from The Mummy.

Raven is an antiquity hunting playboy who has no intention of settling down. He's worked hard to cultivate his reputation and will never break his one rule to never fall in love.

Raven enjoys nothing more than teasing India, well other than the thrill of tracking down rare and expensive finds. India cannot stand the irresponsible playboy who squanders his ducal duties and misses her former childhood friend.

Their relationship is flirty, fun and often hilarious. I really wanted them to get their act together. There were times when I wanted to smack their heads together and give them a shake. I enjoyed the romance, action and 'Downton does Indiana' twist, with a few old friends on the side...

The Lady is Daring - Review

The Lady is Daring - Duke's Daughter's #3
by Megan Frampton

What they say: Five well-bred sisters, one sensational scandal. Now the Duke of Marymount's daughter Ida is about to find love in the most unconventional way...

It was easy for society to overlook Lady Ida Howlett; they found her bookish, opinionated, and off the marriage mart. But little did they know that behind a calm exterior beats the heart of an adventuress, one who, determined to discover her runaway sister's whereabouts, steals a carriage and sets off on a daring mission. Then she discovers she's not alone! Bennett, Lord Carson, is inside, and he refuses to leave.

Lord Carson's plans had always been to find a soft, gentle wife who would run his home and raise his children. Still, he makes a bargain with Ida—he won't desert her during her mad adventure. He'll make sure she's safe, and then find a suitable lady to fall in love with. But when rules (and garments) become discarded during this long, intimate journey, it's soon clear that this surprisingly daring lady is the woman he's needed all along.

Releases 25th Sept by Avon Books - Pre-order

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!

What I say: I do love me some historical romance and Megan Frampton always knows how to bring on the swoon.

The Lady is Daring is the third instalment in Frampton's Dukes Daughters series but the books are standalone so you don't need to have read the first two.

Lady Ida Howlett goes against tradition and family expectation. She's considered too opinionated and not marriage material aka a bluestocking. When she takes it upon herself to track down her missing and disgraced sister Della, she knows this will damage her reputation beyond repair. She's headstrong and loyal so when she sets off on her rescue mission in a 'borrowed' carriage she's not expecting an infuriating stowaway...

Bennett aka Lord Carson is a busy man. He's running the duchy for his useless father and has no intention of ever treating anybody as badly as the duke treats his mother. He doesn't want to marry a whimpering, rich society heiress even to gain back some of the money his father has wasted. He finds himself on an unplanned adventure with Lady Ida and he can't help finding her bossy ways endearing.

Their developing relationship is really sweet. Neither wants to be a burden to the other but they are also not prepared to admit the truth.

Ida is probably my favourite of the Howlett girls so far because she's really funny. I loved her feminist approach and how she isn't prepared to be married off, or to become another society girl who is seen and not heard.

All the Way - Romancing Manhattan #1
by Kristen Proby

What they say: In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby’s brand new Romancing Manhattan series, three brothers get more than they bargain for as they practice law, balance life, and navigate love in and around New York City.

Finn Cavanaugh is known for being a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. He owns a successful law firm with his brother and brother-in-law in Manhattan. But when Finn’s troubled niece goes to stay with him for the summer in Martha’s Vineyard, he’s reluctant to take time off from work. That is, until he meets his beautiful new neighbor, London.

But when London feels confident enough to return to the spotlight, she’s dealt another devastating blow. Will the newfound love between London and Finn be enough to conquer all? Or will it be over before it has a chance to grow…?

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!

What I say: All the Way is the first instalment in Kristen Proby's shiny new Romancing Manhattan contemporary romance series. Meet actress/musical performer, London and lawyer, Finn.

London has a tragic back story. When we meet her she's trying to move on emotionally and physically from the traumatic events which took her parents and left her injured and unable to perform on Broadway. She retreats to her family's holiday home where she bumps into sexy neighbour Finn.

Oh Finn!! He's smooth, charming and funny. I loved how sweet he was with Gabby and how he looked after London. He goes out of his way, even risking losing business to help both his niece and London. That being said, I have to agree with London when it came to him being too bossy!

Can we just talk about how cute Gabby is please? She's 10 going on 25! I loved how she manages to less than subtly manipulate London into giving Finn a chance.

It's a sweet and short contemporary romance - perfect for a vacation read or even when it's raining outside (speaking as a Brit).

Is a certain widower's story up next?!

Losing the Field - Coming Soon

Ooh coming soon...

Losing the Field (The Field Part #4)
by Abbi Glines

What they say: Losing his dream, his ultimate plan, and his future- Nash Lee never expected to be facing a life without football. One wrong move and it had all changed. Going back to school for his senior year no longer appealed to him. He’d rather not leave his house. Walking back into Lawton High School, seeing pity in everyone’s eyes was just another reality in his nightmare.

Revenge wasn’t a pretty thing. Tallulah Liddell had found it was rather controlling. The way you looked at life changed completely when you clung to the ugly notion. But she’d done it anyway. From the last day of her junior year when Ryker Lee had made a fat joke about her and Nash laughed with him, she’d been driven by pain. It wasn’t like no one had made fun of her weight before. She was used to that. What had hurt so deeply was Nash’s laughter. He’d always been the one person to notice her, include her, not treat her differently. But that one moment had changed it all. From the time she walked out of the school building to the moment she returned for her senior year Tallulah had been determined to lose weight and finally be the size her peers considered acceptable.

What she wasn’t expecting on her return was to find a broken Nash Lee who no longer smiled, rarely spoke, and didn’t care about anything or anyone around him. He was just existing. But the pain in his eyes she understood all too well. He was alone. He no longer fit into the perfect package.

RESPECT - Release Time

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jay Crownover, comes the next title in her The Breaking Point romantic suspense series, RESPECT. Don’t miss the amazing excerpt below, and order your copy today!

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who called a corrupt kingdom home sweet home.

Protected and sheltered from the worst the world had to offer, she fell in love with the crumbling city that burned and blazed around her. Every dirty corner, every scary shadow, found a place within her heart. So did a man who was violent and dangerous, just like the streets she claimed as her own.

He was all business and brutality, except when it came to her. With her, he was calm, caring, and heartbreakingly patient.

He warned her over and over that he wasn't the man for her, but she refused to listen. She never expected either the streets or their enforcer to hurt her, since she'd given her heart so completely to both.

She should have known the streets in the Point were always going to be savage, and so was the man committed to keeping control of them in the hands of criminals and bloody kingpins.

Blindsided by a betrayal which cut so deeply she was sure the wounds would never heal, the princess fled the home she loved and the man who broke her heart. Throwing away her rusted, twisted crown was supposed to help her forget. All it did was make her long for everything she left behind. She told herself she would never go back, but in this tormented kingdom, family is everything. Eventually, she has no choice but to return.

While she was gone, the people who loved her worked hard to make the city safe, and the man who destroyed her sank deeper into the darkness. Going back shouldn't feel like surrender... but it does. As this pretty princess hovers on the edge of the unknown, the past attacks with a vengeance. It's a good reminder that puppy love eventually grows up and turns into something with sharp teeth and one hell of a bite.

She never asked for the keys to the kingdom. She'd much rather go out and build her own.

Excerpt:

~Karsen~

I had no plans to leave the Point. It was ugly, mean, hard, and unforgiving, but these streets were home and I couldn’t imagine being happy anywhere else. This place had long since made my hands and the edges of my soul dirty. It was something I would be hard-pressed to hide should I go anywhere else. I’d have to spend my days trying to camouflage the filth I was so familiar with. Here, no one looked twice at the pretty teenager with shadows in her eyes and blood on her hands. I was one of many.

I wasn’t interested in leaving behind my sister or her fiancé, Race. We were an odd, dysfunctional family, but we made it work.

I didn’t want to be too far away from my mother, who was living in a group home as she slowly, painfully tried to recover from her alcoholism and PTSD from an accident she caused that ended up taking the life of a young mother and her child.

But more than anything, I absolutely didn’t want to leave him.

I couldn’t imagine a day going by without catching a glimpse of Noah Booker. I mean, he was impossible to miss. Six-and-a-half-feet tall, body built like a professional athlete, dark and brooding with the prettiest gunmetal-gray eyes, he was the entirety of every one of my teenage fantasies. I barely noticed the jagged scar dividing one side of his face. White and raised, it cut one of his black eyebrows in half, slashed over a high cheekbone, and ended somewhere under the chiseled edge of his hard jaw. He never talked about it, but Race, Booker’s boss, let it slip that Booker got the scar when he was locked up. Or maybe it wasn’t as much of a slip-up as a thinly veiled warning. Race never kept it much of a secret that my infatuation with his massive, dangerous, ex-con enforcer made him extremely uncomfortable. He’d warned me over and over again that Booker wasn’t for me. And he’d made it clear to the man who broke knees and smashed heads for a living that he was to stay as far away from me as possible.

They called it puppy love. It wasn’t.

To me, it was a vicious kind of love, filled with teeth and claws that I could feel digging at my insides every single time someone patted me on the head and told me how young I was, how much life I had yet to live. This love was rabid, and I was tired of having it on a leash. I wanted to let it free, wanted to let it sink its razor-sharp fangs into the man who had awoken the primal need inside of me. It was only fair he felt the same kind of crushing bite and painful pressure around his heart that I did every single day.

I was solely focused on getting to Booker. It barely registered I was done with high school and had new doors opening all around me. I couldn’t care less about getting my hands on my diploma. A piece of paper with Karsen Carter written on it in pretty calligraphy meant exactly nothing to me. The only thing I was focused on was the fact I was finally old enough to make my own choices. And I’d always picked Booker. Over and over again he was my number one priority.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!

What I say: I was a little scared to read RESPECT because I'm always a wimp when it comes to reading the final book in a beloved series, or in this case in a spin-off series. I really shouldn't have worried because as always Jay Crownover totally brings it home!!

Oh Karsen and Booker! We've been waiting forever for their story and it was SO worth the wait! The book is action packed and (I'm bringing out all the reviewer clichés here) full of drama from the very first page!

Karsen has been living away from the point and is determined to move on from Booker. She believes he will never see her as more than a young girl with a crush - how wrong she is!

RESPECT takes all kinds of unexpected turns. It made me question loyalties and whether Jay had completely tricked us in previous stories - don't worry no spoilers here!

Karsen has matured so much since we first met her as a teen and has become a capable but vulnerable young woman. Booker is all kinds of bad and broody *fans self*. I was expecting to find myself constantly thinking about their age difference, but I really didn't. They just seem right; they fit!

As with all the books in the series, it's not smooth sailing. The action is gritty and raw. There are times when I'm not really sure who the bad guys are.

A bittersweet ending to a fab series, or two if we're including all the Better When books... Can we spin-off again please?
