This week, I'm waiting on... Obsession by Jennifer L Armentrout!
What they say: USA Today bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout's adult novel OBSESSION. It takes place in the world of the YA series THE LUX, in which a young woman discovers an alien race is behind her best friend's death, making her their next target, and must rely on a sexy, domineering stranger to protect her, who turns out to be the biggest threat of them all - an Arum.
What Jennifer says (on her blog): Obsession is about an Arum. Obsession does take place in the same world that Katy and Daemon inhabit, Obsession is more mature, definitely targeted toward the older crowd. It’s an adult romance, so you know what that means.
Obsession will change what you think you know about the Luxens and Arums. There will be some crossover with certain characters from the Lux Series. (hint hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
Obsession takes place in-between Opal and the 4th Lux novel, which is called Origin. Hunter and Serena are the lead characters in Obsession. You do NOT need to read Obsession if you read Lux and you do NOT need to read the Lux to understand Obsession.
Why I'm waiting on Obsession: The Lux series is one of favs and I think my obsession (see what I did there?) with Jennifer is pretty clear by now. I've been mourning the series since Opal was released (there's only so long a gal can cope without some Daemon Black in her life) and I love the idea of an adult novel set in the Luxen/Arum world with different characters. Will Hunter surpass Daemon in the swoon Olympics?
Due for release in May, I CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on this one!!
