Book Christmas Tree Fail

So this happened...


I've noticed lots of pics of some pretty fab book Christmas Trees appearing over the last couple of years - you can see some great examples I found below:

Now look at my uber pitiful attempt: 

In my defence I didn't have any spare lights and I made it from a few books I had around the house that are currently waiting for a new bookcase. BUT it's terrible! 
I'm thinking it needs to be made from a lot more books in a much bigger space (it's not like I have a shortage of books to make a bigger one).
Epic fail on my part. Have you built a book tree? If so share your pics...
