Review Policy Update 22nd July

I'm a little sad that I have to write this post, but here goes...

I've received a few shall we say, less than friendly emails recently re review and promo requests. I always make it clear that due to the volume of requests I am not able to get back to you all, so please don't get offended. It is nothing personal but I would spent all the time I use for reading and writing posts responding to emails if I did reply to them all.

It is worth considering that hassling me and other bloggers isn't exactly going to inspire us to promote anything for you - so be kind. Sending us nasty emails after an unsolicited request wastes everyone's time and is tacky. I do not owe you anything, no matter the circumstances. I run this blog because I love books and want to help out the community. Please treat me with the respect I give to you.

The blog is currently and has been a for a while now, closed for review requests! I have a huge backlog of posts and books waiting to be read. I've been working on a degree for the past year and am just starting a new role which has to come first. That being said I love books and this blog, so I have lots of exciting things planned this year.

I ask you read my policy here and remember I will not be accepting review/promo requests for the next few months. As soon as the blog is open for requests again I will update the policy page.

Thank you for the continued support and happy reading.

My Ever-expanding TBR - An Update on Reviews

I've been getting so many review & book promo requests recently so I felt I should address a few things...

I'm currently booked up really far in advance with tours, book blasts, promos etc and am not accepting any requests at this time - I literally don't have the space for them.

As far as book review requests go my TBR is so full that I'm not physically able to read any more books than I am and so the blog is currently closed for review requests. I will open the list back up again as soon as I can.

I really don't like having to do this because I love helping out as many authors as possible but I literally don't have the space or time.

I've had a few people getting upset recently because I couldn't fit them in on the blog, so I wanted to make it clear that I really do appreciate every request I receive and am grateful you took the time to contact me.

Like many other bloggers I receive so many requests that I do not have the time to respond to them all (I do try to reply to as many as I can) but a while ago I had to make the choice between replying to requests and actually reading/writing reviews and posts. Please do not be offended if I do not reply or if I'm not able to work with you at this time because it's not a reflection or you or your work, it's purely a time thing and no offence is ever intended.

I really hope this clears up a few things regarding requests and I wish you all well with your book(s). I wanted to offer a big thank you to all the authors out there who provide us with hours of entertainment and who have given us so many wonderful characters - you guys rock!!

Z xx

I love YA!

I wanted to say a BIG thanks for all the review, cover reveal and tour requests. Because I'm currently on a big YA kick I thought I'd remind you I'm currently ONLY accepting YA books for review (See my full policy page here or the quick note below):

"I'm currently ONLY accepting fantasy, paranormal & contemporary YA books for review! This is because I have a lot of other genres waiting in my TBR pile/list!"

Other genres will not be accepted at this time and because I receive a LOT of review requests on a daily basis I won't be able to contact you unless I want to review your book (sorry about that, us Brits hate being rude).

As soon as I have reduced my list I'll open the blog up for other genres.

In the meantime you can catch up with my YA reviews here!

Thanks lovelies :) x
