Unsuitable
by Samantha Towle
From New York Times bestselling author, Samantha Towle, comes a new sexy, romantic suspense standalone novel...
Daisy Smith has spent eighteen months of her life paying for a crime she didn’t commit. Now out of prison, she has only one focus—to get back custody of her younger brother, Jesse, who is deep in the foster care system. Desperate to rebuild her life and show the system that she is responsible enough to care for Jesse, she takes on the only job available to her—working as a maid at the Matis Estate.
On day one of her new job, Daisy meets Kastor Matis, the only son of the owners and her new boss. An enigmatic, handsome Greek god of a man, Kas is closed off, cold, and…well, kind of a bastard.
The more time Daisy spends around Kas, she starts to see there might be more to him than just his cold, bastard ways. He may actually have a heart beating in that frozen chest of his.
But Kas has secrets, too. Secrets that he’s determined to keep.
Secrets make Daisy curious.
And you know what curiosity can do…

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!
What I say: *Fan girl alert!* If you're as much of Samantha Towle fan girl as I am, you'll be aware of the type of romances she usually writes. Unsuitable is very different from her previous books including The Mighty Storm, Revved and The Ending I Want, but is just as good awesome!
I LOVED Daisy. She's sweet, awkward and determined. Daisy went to prison for a crime she didn't commit (not a spoiler as it' in the blurb) and is determined to rebuild her life to get her treasured younger brother, Jesse, back. I had my doubts about Daisy before I started reading because I was worried she'd either be solely focused on vengeance or be sickly sweet. Happily she's neither, and instead is a charming mix of innocent and sassy. She's definitely not boring. I found myself laughing at her mishaps, and feeling her outrage at Kas-hole!
On to Kas. Smouldering, mysterious and handsome, Kas is a real conundrum. Don't get me wrong, I loved him but the dude has issues. Like a shedload of them! I honestly couldn't decide whether I really like the back-and-forth hot-and-cold thing he had going on, or if it annoyed me. Mostly I enjoyed the angst and tension.
I had a few theories about what had happened and what was going to happen, but I really wasn't expecting the level of tension and drama Samantha incorporates into the story. In terms of certain revelations I'd say expect the unexpected!
Something I always appreciate with Samantha's stories is her knack for creating fab secondary characters. I loved Daisy's bestie Cece and of course Jesse. I'm hoping for a spin-off featuring Cece *hint hint*.
The plot is a dramatic and exciting, yet contains all of the charm, chemistry and romance I always associate with Samantha's books. Not only are we treated to drama and sexy times, but also mystery and suspense. I loved Unsuitable. Daisy and Kas completely charmed me.
