What I say: Samantha Towle always writes sexy BBFs. It's a fact. What she's also great at is creating super sassy heroines, Charly is no exception.

Charly, aka wardrobe assistant extraordinaire and wannabe designer, meets A-List Hollywood star Vaughn West on set and makes one heck of an impression! 

Vaughn is quite the charmer, but his ego has taken a massive hit recently. A series of incidents have put his career in jeopardy so he has to be on his best behaviour and focus solely on his acting. 

I loved Charly. She made me laugh from beginning to end. The combination of her quirky style and sense of humour resulted in a fab heroine. I liked how she stood her ground, going toe-to-toe with Vaughn.

Vaughn is instantly drawn to Charly and enjoys sparring with her - pins and all! I have to admit even when he was being a jerk I still loved him. I was totally won over by this charmer and wanted them to get their big Hollywood HEA.

Without turning into a complete fangirl (even though I am a massive ST fangirl), I know I can always count on Samantha Towle to create amazing secondary characters. Vaughn's family and Nick are particularly good additions to the story - I loved seeing the interaction between all the characters.
As you can probably tell I really enjoyed Wardrobe Malfunction and am hoping Nick gets his own story one day...

The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.
I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.
He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.
Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.
Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.
Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.
I was swindled out of ten grand.
The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.
I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.
I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.
The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.

What I say: EGOMANIAC is latest contemporary romance from the lovely Vi Keeland (see sassy lady hiding behind book below - tee hee). 
Be prepared to laugh with this one! I laughed *ahem* snorted my way through Drew's one-liners and reading about Emerie's exploits (ladylike as always).
Psychologist Emerie's time in her new swanky New York office is interrupted when a handsome but rude stranger breaks in. Unfortunately for Emerie, the stranger Drew is the real owner of the office and she's been conned out of 10 grand! Ouch! Divorce lawyer Drew is initially unimpressed to find Em in his office but is charmed by her determination and sassy charm and finds himself offering to share the rooms - very out of character for this egomaniac. Their intense mutual attraction goes a long way towards the offer...

Drew is uncharacteristically sweet to Em and I really loved the slow build in their friendship. Drew's innuendos and smutty come-ons made me laugh, but I really enjoyed seeing them support and look after each other. 

I have to admit that Drew isn't the complete arse I was expecting - yes he's cynical but with good reason (don't worry no spoilers here), but he's also considerate (bubble bath anyone?) and caring. I loved seeing him with his family and friends. There were times when I wanted to give Drew an award for epic stupidity but I did understand his motivations even if I didn't agree with them!

In other news I really didn't like Baldwin but we're not meant to - ugh! I really couldn't see the attraction there.

The adult scenes are definitely erm... adult but not too frequent - there's lots of fun and dramatic plot lines. I had Moves Like Jagger in my head throughout these sections.

What I say: I held off reading Pucked for a few weeks after release because of the hype. I don't know about you, but I've had a few bad experiences where I've had overly high expectations of a hyped book or author and then been hugely disappointed by the book. I really shouldn't have worried about the hype surrounding Pucked because it really is as funny, witty and as charming as the MANY other readers have suggested! 
First up, I'm going to mention that the book isn't for younger readers because it's smutty, like really smutty, but in a hilarious and very modern way. Secondly I'm going to point out that even though it's smutty it's well written. I loved the many cultural reference's and modern colloquialisms Helena Hunting incorporates into the story. If you don't like naughty humour in your contemporary romances then this probably isn't the story for you. BUT if you're like me and you like a side order of dirty humour, then Pucked is probably a good purchase for you. 

It probably should be noted that I cackled, snorted and yes 'laughed out loud' reading this one. It's something of a rarity with contemporary romances, but I loved both the main characters. Violet and Alex were a constant joy to read about. As somebody who is also prone to word vomit I loved Violet's lack of brain-to-mouth filter. I also appreciated Alex's nervous babbling, and that however confident he many be in many aspects of his life, Violet still managed to make him nervous.

It's no secret that I'm pretty anti insta-love or even insta-lust (don't worry I won't spoil anything) but I liked the development of their relationship and how Violet was always clear on not rushing certain things. She's pretty level headed (except for when it comes to resisting Alex) but her Beaver and MC commentary was hilarious. 

I found Alex  extremely endearing. Yes he makes a few mistakes but I do love a guy who apologises in style. I have to admit I didn't think the event was as bad as I had expected but I could understand why Violet was so annoyed. 

The secondary characters were a fab and eclectic mix. I loved Buck, Charlene and Skye. Violet's Mum, Skye, was gloriously inappropriate - I'm never going to worry about my Mum's lack of boundaries again after reading some of the things Skye does.

I think it's Buck's story up next but I'd also like to read about Darren and the rest of the hockey team - Go Hawks! I'll never be able to look at a cuddly toy in quite the same way and I do like a gal who is crafty... So.Many.Euphemisms!

• Buck is mammoth, like a yeti. A huge, perverted, hairy whore of a yeti.
• I want to be his love slave. An image of me in a black corset wearing a collar with a leash attached to it pops into my head. Maybe stupid Lydia was right to cut the smut from the book club for a while.
• "Do you have some kind of... disorder? Like elephantiasis of the penis or something?"
• I'm so pucked. There'd better be a support group for hockey hookers. I'm going to need it after tonight.
